The environment is an important issue.
Every time a client hires us they may not know it- but the end result is that by running an online auction they reduce the amount of paper needed to produce a silent auction, reduce transpiration costs of event attendees travelling to and attending events, reduce the waste that comes from producing a large charity fundraiser and help the environment.
Online auctions are not only a great way to make money- but are also good for the environment.
At Vonality we’re taking steps to help our customers make the right choices and reduce their ecological impact. These steps will also help us reduce our own impact.
Doing our part to protect the environment is an important responsibility we all share. Here at Vonality, we hope to work together with our customers in this endeavour.
From using recycled and re purposed packaging material for shipping to power saving in our facilities- every bit helps! Vonality actively seeks out partners that are environmentally responsible. We try hard to work at a micro level- where we can measure the impact. By using bicycle couriers instead of shipping companies, using electronic acceptance methods instead of printing, by powering down our computers at night we try to do our part everyday.
Every little action helps.
In the past 5 years Vonality has re-used over 5000 packaging boxes and has made a strong commitment to only use recycled or re-purposed packaging materials.
Why trees are so important
- One large tree can provide a day's oxygen for up to 4 people.
- One large tree can lift up to 450 litres of water out of the ground and discharge it into the air in one day.
- You need about 500 full sized trees to absorb the carbon dioxide produced by a typical car driven 20,000 km/year.
